A positive - Chase Brown
#81
He had the one run where he was going to get hit 5 yards behind the LoS and instead cut back across the field and got like 3 yards out of it. A hell of an impressive run.

Could've had more if he didn't run into someone either

On a roster I’d like to see A LOT of turnover he’s a keeper.

And that's with 4 games to go.

FWIW, Mixon is at 4.9 yards per touch this season, which is the same as Chase Brown.
Difference is Mixon has just gotten more touches than Brown.
Chase Brown should be a 1200-1400 total yard guy by the end of the year.
Since Brown's first game with 20+ touches (Raiders), he has 617 yards and 4 TDs in 5 games.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

I’m a fan of Brown. Love his wheels and shiftiness.

Even Barkley would struggle to be a beast w this awful OLINE.

Good to see we finally have a speedy RB, I'd like to see a heavy pounding RB like Henry in our team too though, and a FB... i like old school Football....

Right

I'm not saying Brown is Barry Sanders 2.0 But the kid does have that breakaway ability we have so badly needed.

Doesn't everyone have a right to be a dumbazz?..lol.

I loved the kid at Illinois and loved him more the game he tore michigan up at their place with a bad ankle. He was dominant. Thought he would be a late 2nd/early 3rd guy. Illinois got screwed bad that game.

To be fair, I said I liked him since the beginning of the thread Wink

I think for some it just took some more games to prove it for them, which is fair.

The thread was started 3 weeks ago.

Hahaha, I guess!

I was glad when we drafted him. I had him as our breakout player before the season!

Yeah, Gesicki found himself having to lead block and just never cut upfield to do so. So Brown had to either run him over or just keep running sideways until he got tackled for a small loss.

Brown has over 800 yards and 7 total TDs on 175 touches.
Brown has an entire yard per carry higher average than Zack Moss (4.3 to 3.3).

It's very likely with 6 games left that Chase Brown will exceed 1000 yards from scrimmage and even potentially surpass 1200 yards from scrimmage.

Bengals may decide they don't need to address RB early in this upcoming draft now because of the emergence of Chase Brown.

Hes doing pretty good.

I havent noticed but he is also taking the short yardage up the gut runs?

I'm pretty sure those are passing downs on the Bengals. Lol

A tidbit to note - Chase Brown is now 21st in the league in yards from scrimmage.
He is 18th among RBs.
This is actually pretty impressive given he has only 210 touches whereas guys like Mixon, Harris, Hubbard, Pollard, etc. have 230+.

Brown would be in top 15 among RBs if he got more touches like the other guys.

A fullback might be nice for short yardage, but we carry five tight ends, which is stupid IMCO, so I feel like we should just put one of them at fullback or sign/draft a guy that can do both.

I'm an old school football kind of guy too.............. especially with the Armed Forces games in college and the triple option!

I have been impressed with how good Brown has been and I think he'll be even more valuable (beyond the obvious) when we get a decent offensive line.

It's also impressive when you consider how bad our line is.

He's shifty and can catch the ball out of the backdfield.

He's perfect for this offense.

Seriously though, got a special player here. One of the few bright spots on this team this year besides our main dudes. Just waiting for
Chase Brown to get a nice hole and take it for like an 80 yard TD....

Too bad our IOL has been so bad at opening up holes this season.

It's been that way since Taylor came on board.
Heck, the last time the Bengals had an actual good running attack, Jeremy Hill was a Bengal.
