Sam Hubbard injury
#1
Sam said they believe he injured his PCL. He will have an MRI in the morning. The fear would be damage to other parts of the knee as PCL injuries often happen in tandem with other injuries

Winning makes believers of us all

They didn't win and we don't beleive

Came on just to see about Sam.

That's sad and unfortunate.

We need to be at full strength going it not his stretch run if we need to win them all.

I'd say it's time.

He's been a good player for us but it sure seems his best days are behind him.

My favorite player on the team and I think you are right. It's been a thing with his legs the last couple of years

Hope it os mild and he can recover fully. He has been playing through injury for a couple years. That can tend to cause breakdowns elsewhere.

Sam should get healthy. No rushing back.

Cappa, Rankins, and Pratt are guys I'd jettison for sure.

Those 3 are at the top of the list.

It was a memorable last play from Sam if that was it in a Bengals uniform (it should be).

I'd rather not see Hubbard risk his career/next season by trying to play the rest of the season.
IMO whether the Bengals make the playoffs or not, ride or die with Murphy, Ossai, and Johnson.
This will be valuable development time for Murphy especially.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

I know many here want to cut Hubbard for his cap savings. And I think it is certainly a viable option.

But he still grades out as our 2nd best DE, behind Hendrickson, by a significant margin.

And Ossai is 3rd, and he is a FA.

Can they even cut Hubbard if injured (while injured)?

I frame the question as would they even cut Hubbard? Moeller to OSU to the Bengals is a total Cincinnati-Brown family-love fest type of thing. They might let him suit up until he's 52 so they can hype the home grown boy.

He’s one of Joe’s best friends, too. But I hope they make the right decision at the end of the day. It’s business.

I'm all for giving player's respect as it improves the perception about the organization amongst players in the league, but ultimately the focus should be about putting together the best roster for the '25 season. If that excludes Hubbard, then I don't object.

I guess they can do an injury settlement if that is how those work. But you right. With their relationship they may just let him start the year on PUP and ride out 2025 "week to week"
