I don't know why I care, but these last couple of wins have kinda pissed me off.
They're only hurting the Bengals draft position!

Someone talk me off the ledge and give me some positive things about the last 2 weeks.

Bengals were likely going to pick around 10th at worst, more likely around 15th.
Unless the Bengals had a shot at Mason Graham, I don't really see a marquee guy they really need to pick in the Top 10 for.
They should be able to get a good safety if they want to replace Stone (although I do wonder if these recent games will change the tone on him).
They shouldn't be picking anywhere near where they drafted Myles Murphy, so if they wanted to go DL, they should still be able to nab a pretty good one.
Picking in the teens is also good for IOL.

Right now, this is who I would guess as my 5 the Bengals have on their target list:
Nic Scourton, DE Texas A&M
Mykel Williams, DE Georgia
Malaki Starks, FS Georgia
Will Johnson, CB Michigan
Walter Nolen, DT Ole Miss

I feel like with Hubbard's health and Murphy's lack of development into the end of his 2nd season will have them leaning DE.
Nolen I have last because they haven't been willing to take a DT in the 1st, but Nolen is probably the 2nd DT after Graham.
They seem to love Michigan DBs, and Johnson may be better than Hill and Turner when it comes to Michigan DBs. But I think they like Hill, Turner, CTB, and Newton more than we may, so he's lower on my list.

That's essentially what you're saying: now read that back and tell me if that is what you would say to a loved one, someone you are mentoring/training, etc., etc.

It's a loser mentality, period. I have only ever seen/experienced Americans who act this way, never in anything else.

You're COMPLETELY wrong.  I still care (although I shouldn't)  HOWEVER, my logical brain can still deduce that wins at this point accomplish no long-term benefit.
OR, maybe they do, but I just can't see it.  That's why I made this post.

If by winning we went from top 3 pick to 20th, you'd be right, but as mentioned above the best we could've done this year was 9th basically, thus it's a wash.

Thus, you play to win the game, always. 

So no, I'm not wrong at all, it's a loser mentality to not want to win. Period.

There's more harm in winning than just draft position.  There's also making it less likely that badly needed changes (coaching, etc) get made.
You're too focused on the short term, while ignoring the long term.
Stop playing the stupid macho "loser mentality" card, it's silly and irrelevant, and BE LOGICAL.

Our franchise QB was cussing on the sideline today. A few wins against bad teams aren’t fooling anyone. Changes are coming.

There is no harm in winning, as we have the cornerstone pieces, Joe Burrow and Chase. If you think that a player drafted 8th vs 16th is the difference, that’s silly. Let’s consider outside free agents, which we will need a lot of. Do you want to play for the 5–12 bengals, and under Zac, where the team packed it in, or for the 8-9/9-8 (hypothetical) bengals that played hard until the end? Obviously it hasn’t gone the bengals way, but if the team can finish strong, it will only be a net positive for the longterm outlook.

I’d say Lou is as good as gone, although he has mixed up stuff more the last few weeks (where was that earlier in the year?). So is Pollack.

Consider who we have playing CB for us. Guys who are rookies, Benched and unknowns. If you continue to see an upward trend from a few, Maybe CB isn’t as big of a hole as we thought. So if player development is part of this winning streak, or whatever you call it, you are hopefully limiting your needs in the future.

Our IOL is toast, that’s a need.
Our WR room is shaky, especially if Tee Leaves.
Our DL room needs a lot.
Our secondary is not good. That said, I think this is the one area where you could have some contribution as they are all young, outside of Hilton.

Idk, I was rooting for losses in 2020 after burrow got hurt, but that MNF game against the Steelers set the tone for the 2021-2022 seasons. The bengals still got Chase as they were really in a bad spot that year, but after that year, I decided that there is more ancillary value to winning games than draft picks. If the bengals lose that game, against the Steelers, maybe they draft Kyle Pitts… or maybe they grab Chase, but Vonn Bell never becomes a leader on D like he did for those playoff runs.

Hindsight is 20/20 and the draft is such a crapshoot anyway.

Dead cat bounce happens when you're out of the playoff picture but get wins late to make the season look better than it was. 

Oh, and **** draft picks. Other than top 5 they rarely work out with this team, so my 2 shits won't be given to them.

Why would I tell you your perfectly correct perception is wrong?

The Bengals can only beat bad teams with bad QBs.
The game against Tennessee was a comedy of errors on both sides of the ball.
You are starting to hear the talking heads say that the Bengals aren't as bad as you know them to be.
There is a good chance that little will change going into next year.

As it currently stands, our FO, our coaches and our minimalist scouting department can't draft well regardless of where in the draft we choose. The only exceptions were- duh- Burrow and Chase. I have zero confidence they will draft well whether #1 or #15. AND the FO refuses, at least most of the time, to trade down and get the person they should get. Their uncanny ability to not draft well, not develop well and not EXTEND contracts well is unsurpassed.

AT this rate of going we will rarely be competitive in the AFC North. I really dislike the Steelers.

Exactly. Palmer, AJ Green, Burrow and Chase. Slam dunks, they get. When you have to research, scout and have some luck, they have not been impressive at all.

My biggest concern from a strong finish is that the front office might think we’re headed in the right direction and that we wont make major changes this offseason. I’ve already seen some fans saying Stone has two picks the last two games were finally using him the right way and so on. We still need to fire Lou and cut dead weight like Stone, Rankins, Hubbard and Cappa the use that money to help rebuild this defense.

Don't listen to these clowns. They're short-sighted. Your concerns are valid ones. 

But if it makes you feel better, losing out wouldn't put us in the top 5 where the Bengals are less likely to **** up the pick anyway.

Where? If he was upset about offensive performance (Burrow confirmed as much during postgame interviews) then there won't be any changes. He's on record already liking Taylor, and there's not a whole lot to complain about offensively. 

We have whiffed early round picks @ receiver in Jones and Burton right now and we still cooking.

I always want the Bengals to win no matter what as a fan.

However I can share some sentiment with the OP because we don't trust the front office.

1. Does winning give them further belief in this coaching staff and thus not making a change?
2. Obviously draft position is getting worse but we were never going to be top 7

As my one friend always says about the Bengals and them winning pointless games: "Polishing a turd".

But I disagree heavily. It's important to see this team keep fighting, playing hard, and winning. You never want to see a locker room "lost". 

And the playoffs aren't really that wild of a thing right now. Three straight losses from Denver (us playing them helps control that) and we are most likely in. I've seen MUCH crazier stuff happen.
