It does for sure .....but I feel the defense is what's hurting this team the most. Rex Ryan said the talent is pitiful, to put it nicely, so it seems the situation in Cincinnati is a little bit different. The Chargers have some pretty good players on their defense. Herbert needed an offensive minded coach to help his progression. "Better send those refunds..."

Taylor is losing my confidence. It is a combination of things that go awry but ultimately, the players are not playing up to their ability. Points to coaching, preparation, and mental attitude. They have to fire DL and OL coaches over bye week. Players are not developing like they should.

Agreed but I will add that we have seen the O struggle as well and no one is going to convince me that the ridiculous talent of Burrow, Chase and Tee (when playing) wouldn’t put up even more monstrous numbers almost every game with a legit HC. These schemes are often dog crap and the O doesn’t wake up or play for 1-2 quarters more often than not. This talent is being short-changed badly.

While I'm not opposed to this, you have to have a replacement available/

A big problem with the offense is the IOL....but you're not wrong either. "Better send those refunds..."

If we didn't win all the Super Bowlz, it would be the broken type Broken Type:
"Fire HC....has lost the locker-room....Team has given up on him.....we'd be much better with that other coach"

Andy Reid would have had the same success with any of the following QB’s:
Josh Allen Joe Burrow Tom Brady There are a few others I think he could have won one Super Bowl with.

Thread makes me ask a question.
Why don't HC's go on the open market? You've never seen a HC turn down an extension to test Free Agency.

The best we get from our coaches is they don’t lose the game for us. As long as this coaching staff is here, I will continue to not watch. Unless they start off 8-0 or something. I’m not crazy.

Bengals have an elite qb, but they lack the elite game planning of an elite coach. They also lack a defense and decisive vision for said defense (identity/scheme). If you look at teams like the chiefs and eagles, their defenses weren’t good enough and their coaches/GM made the right picks in the draft to build a defense. They loaded up on pass rush and coverage. They backed up the defense with great game planning and game management to win more often than not in close games. Meanwhile the bengals tend to shell up on offense in the clutch/playoffs against elite teams in crucial moments. Bengals could have won when they made the Super Bowl and afc championship a couple years ago if their offense could close out the game—but they got outcoached in the clutch moments. They’ve gotten outcoached in clutch moments this year too. Bengals keep wiffing on defense in the draft. They have punted drafting a legit corner since Zac got here. They picked up a couple mid DTs in FA to replace an aging Reader. Chiefs drafted later than the bengals and still drafted better to set up these last 3 years. They were up against the salary cap just like us but hit on their picks. I brought this up before this draft and the prior one as well. Bengals need a great draft on defense to set up a Super Bowl window. Their coaching needs to improve as well. Part of coaching is drafting, development, and game planning/management. Zac has had some moments where we won some close games. Overall we keep coming up short and it’s a case of the coaches and the organization wiffing on draft picks and not getting us into the right plays in the clutch situations to win games.
