T. Aikman If I had a vote on MVP
#21
If he had a D, he'd have a few more wins and he'd be an easy winner.

If we somehow sneak into the playoffs, he still has a chance.c

I just think that, with us not being a media darling, he'd need to make the playoffs so people wouldn't say "if he were most valuable, they'd be in the playoffs."

I guess it's not that Burrow's not the most valuable- it's that he's the most valuable but he's on a bad team.

I still win a few grand if he does win!

I thought I had Chase as OPOY but I can't find the slip. The only ones I can find are Burrow MVP and us to win the ship.

His numbers aren't even close to Lamar, Joe or Saquon and are more comparable to Darnold and Goff (who have both led their teams to better records, with harder schedules), save for literally rushing TDs. That's it.

As of right now, if the whole, "team making the playoffs," thing is a requirement (it shouldn't be and it's bullshit that it is), then it's Lamar, then Saquan and I wouldn't consider anyone else.

If playoffs don't matter, then Joe vaults to the top, as he has been the best player in the league this year.

Yep. Josh Allen is just sentimental BS. He has, by far, the best Oline and he has more than enough weapons, even with Diggs and Davis leaving. There's no shortage of guys to throw to there. And he has a good RB.

Poor Joshy hasn't won shit since he's been there, so they want to give him some hardware because they feel sorry for him. I would put him squarely in the conversation but not the front-runner at all.

I did find it amusing yesterday when the talking heads were debating Jackson v. Allen for MVP and one brought up how many games Allen has led BUF to over 30 points and was sure to point out he even lost 1 when his team scored 30+. Joe has lost 4.

Now Joe should be a shoo-in for Comeback Player, but will most likely lose Offense Player of the Year BECAUSE he's a QB,

He should be named All-Pro which would be huge

Are folks "voting" all so low only looking at Passing Numbers?  Dude has about 600 yards and 12 TDs on the ground.

What gets me is, in the past, people were always sure to add other QBs rushing yds and tds, which usually hurt Joe.

This year, Joe actually leads everyone in total yds and total tds.

SO THERE, NFL TALKING HEADS!!!!

A DB on the Titans called Joe - Houdini talking to J. Chase or Tee after a play. And he is. I'm just praying the clowns at the top don't fail Joe again this offseason.

Unfortunately, 30+ years of evidence says the FO fails again..........................and that they couldn't care less as long as they do it their way.

I know the chances of Joe getting it are slim to nearly none. But IMHO, and Troy's - he should

If we somehow do make the Playoffs Burrow should most definitely get the MVP. Troy saying so should help, he knows QB play.

Sadly we most likely won't make the Playoffs and the MVP is given to great players on winning teams that make the Playoffs.

Just the way it is. No doubt Burrow is having the best season of any QB.

It's been fun watching him this season. I just wish it had been more fun to watch others on the team since the playoffs aren't likely happening. Let's hope luck goes the Bengals way this weekend!

Let's hope, I am just preparing myself for it not happening but there is a chance, all be it a slim one.

For damn sure we want Super Bowl titles more than anything. But no player deserves MVP more than Joe, he completely carries this team
along with Ja'Marr and he is constantly sabotaged by bad interior O-line play and a bad Defense besides Trey.

IDK if folks saw the Burrow interview with Cam Newton. JB said he'd like to win an MVP in his career, but this ain't the year

Ravens keeping Lamar out there in the 3rd quarter to pad for an MVP.
Bills probably only giving a symbolic start to Allen to preserve his streak to protect him.
Eagles sitting Barkley to protect him.

Always interesting to see the different approaches.

My fav QB outside bengals, is Allen, but I was suprised Lamar had better stats all around than Allen (as shown during the game today), they had 6 stats yrds, tds, passcompletinons, etc., the only one Allen outdid lamar was rushing TDs.. which was surprising. I wonder how Lamar and Burrow compare.

*for this season

Josh Allen had some great moments against the best teams and that is why I think he gets the MVP. Lamar of course has Joe on rushing yards
but other than that and having King Henry having a fantastic year while he beat Joe twice in shootouts with Lou's terrible D Joe beats his ass as
far as stats go. I know our D was bad too, but in the end we need to make the Playoffs for Joe to have a shot at MVP.

Player of the Year seems more likely for Joe as I don't see the Broncos losing to the Chiefs tomorrow but yah never know..

I can se burrow and Lamar both being MVP, Lamar’s numbers are good, kind of crazy to have 3 MVPs though. I wonder how many Brady had.

Lamar is unguardable, we think Vick was good this guy is 1.5x. Josh Allen passing stats shows he’s actually the RB playing QB.

Jon Gruden also said he would vote for Joe.

by shear performance, it should be

MVP: Joe Burrow
OPY: Ja'Marr Chase
DPY: Trey Hendrickson
