Here's my take on him... I don't think he has the desire to do what it takes to succeed in this league, as he has interests in other areas like music. That said..... The NFL coaching community has done this kid no favors. He came into the league knowing how to play one position, left tackle. He played Left Tackle well enough at Clemson to get Sunshine and Co the National Title. So he gets drafted and the coaches want him to play every position BUT left tackle. He's obviously not talented enough to transition to the right side of the line and is not mean enough to play guard. But, when he got his chance to play Left Tackle, he wasn't horrible. He's not the best player by any stretch, but I think our coaches and elsewhere kind of screwed him by playing him out of position.

heres my take on the matter..we ..even though we are passionate fans. have absolutely no idea why Carman failed so far in the NFL

Well we don't know what's going on in his head, but we do know he had back issues, and has not been allowed to focus on playing the position he played in college. He hasn't been done any favors..... now whether he would have done better as a LT in the NFL is debatable as well, but we know he played better there than he did as guard or as any position on the right side of the line. Some players just can't make the transition.

Well said, we found our depth finally which is great. Ford and Cochran were not outright liabilities filling in which was great to see.

Now with Scott Peters teaching great technique/hand fighting skills/placement while adding a FA and an early Draft pick we could finally
have a great OL in front of Burrow and a running game. I am excited. We have our Tackles and a good young OL coach looks like.

Well to be fair we're the only country that should be allowed to use it.
