Eh, we made the playoffs 5 straight years as well with Andy. Doesn't matter much if you can't win the big one. I'm rooting for him though.

Anybody remember Lamar refusing to go on field after blowout to Bengals in 2021? He's 1 injury away from being RGIII. All these running QBs are. Take away their running threat & what's left? Man I hate college football in the pros.

Other than being QBs that can run the ball, Lamar and RGIII aren't comparable talents. RGIII played 56 games in the NFL in 7 seasons. Lamar has played 103 games in the NFL in 7 seasons. Lamar has rushed for over 6,000 yards which is #1 for QBs. RGIII isn't in the top 20. Lamar's career has far eclipsed RGIII's career when measuring their individual success.

I don;t buy that of Lamar past three playoff runs, yesterday he had 2 turnovers yes but also had multiple drops and lead the team on a great final drive. Below are the past six games of Jackson and Burrow in post season. I would not say Lamar's stats reflect tight as a drum. Jackson: 3-3 record, 237 P/R game avg, 10.2 pct, 9 TDs and 4 Ints Burrow: 4-2 record, 290 P/R game avg 7.3 pct 8 TDs and 4 Ints

It’s OK to say Lamar has a problem in January. past 3 season in playoffs, he is 3-3 he has been much better, past six post season games he is 9 tds vs 4 ints, im not sure about fumbles outside yesterday lost, that is not great but Joes past six post season game he is 8 tds vs 4 ints, i believe no fumble lost though. Jackson is much better now in playoffs than start of his career.

He still isn’t shaking the can’t win big games narrative. His only playoff wins have come against a washed Russell Wilson, Ryan Tannehill, and a rookie CJ Stroud. He’s 0-3 vs Mahomes and Allen.

His success is based on his running ability, take that away & he's not putting up MVP #s, he just won't. RGIII got hurt his 1st season during playoffs, he tore everything while taking a snap & was'nt the same player because of it. Lamar has been lucky to not have a serious injury, everytime he runs I shake my head. Allen & Mahomes are big dudes and can take the hits, Lamar is'nt. Joe runs because he has to, I cringe everytime he runs. I would'nt want Lamar on this team with the O-line we've had the last 8-9 seasons. He's had great #s, he just had his best season. I hope he stays healthy. I hate the read option in the pros I guess is my point because of how much QBs make & how much an injury to those QBs can ruin seasons. Salary cap issues with those huge contracts can be a problem also, Watson's cap hit for 25 & 26 is 73 million. Less running equals less chance of injuries right?

Didn’t look like that to me, when it was on the line he threw a horrendous pick, lost a fumble and lost another playoff game. Just because he wasn’t as bad as previous years doesn’t mean he hasn’t shaken those demons of tightening up in the biggest games. All that pre game talk about how ‘antsy’ he’s been in previous seasons but how focused he is now sounds like he’s trying to convince himself. Hes got a rep for a reason and other than ‘he wasn’t as bad as previous seasons’ comes along he’ll keep it. |
