Tee’s market price (Update: 3 March 25, Tee has been tagged again)
News is Davante Adams is going to be released. Trade Tee, pick up a draft pick and sign Adams. That would be better than re-signing Tee at 30 million per year. Adams wont cost 30 million.

This doesn't really mean much to me, but thanks. We also throw the ball much more in Zac's Offense with Burrow and I guarantee with
even more targets AJ would be even better especially with one of the best ever in Ja'Marr taking up double teams. I know that a great QB
doesn't necessarily make a player's numbers better as you show, but if you are saying AJ wouldn't put up bigger numbers than Tee in Zac
and Joe's Offense I strongly disagree.

I would be down with this, and I am okay with Tee staying, but adding a pick and Davante Adams I think would help the team more as you say it
would cost less so we could afford to upgrade the trenches more. We get the Guard positions fixed and the DL with a better pass rush and we are
set IMHO. We would be right back in the SB conversation.

Joe and Ja’Marr making all the right noises about wanting Tee. I’ve got the perfect solution. Pay Chase what he wants, he then pays Tee 6M a year (chicken feed really), ditto for Joe. Bengals then pay Tee around 20M per year, voila, save a cap hit, everyone gets what they want.

I don't think it works like that, but maybe Tee ditching Muleghata his old agent for Ja'Marr's could help yah never know.

Doubt Ja'Marr gives up anything, he isn't even happy with the current offer on the table for him from the Bengals.

The only players listed who have proven to be real nfl talent, to build a team around is Burrow, Mims, Chase. Burrow was as close to a no brainer as you can get. Chase was an easy pick. Mims I think was a solid “hit”. A kicker doesn’t even count. Especially after the year he just had. Matt Lee? How is he good? Murphy to this point is a complete bust. Not saying he can’t get better but we can’t be touting him as a good draft pick.

Funny you didn’t even list Higgins.

The answer is Tee and Chase.

If there were more draft hits than those two things would be different.

If say, the year after they drafted Chase they drafted an all pro corner or dlineman, I’d say give Tee’s money to that player. But it’s not reality.

If they drafted better, there would be a great argument not to sign Tee.
Because they haven’t, it forces their hand because you have to sign the players that you hit on and then add to that via free agency.

Couldn't have said it better myself!
We have to pay Tee because there is know one else worth his value in free agency outside of DT Milton Williams(and thats questionable).

What about Davante Adams?  He had another 1000 yard season with 8 TDs and would likely be cheaper than Higgins.  Trade Higgins and then you have a 2nd round draft pick to go along with Adams replacing Tee.

And BJ Hill might have the same production as Milton Williams for cheaper for all we know with the great talent he had around him in Philly.

What could his other agent have done to changed any of this is my question? We would of tagged him regardless of who his agent was.

Actually, he probably has a much better chance at getting an extension with the Bengals now as Mulegheta has never got an extension done
for any of his clients with the Bengals.

If we want to move on from Tee, I think this sounds like the best move. Adams is still good and plays more than Tee and would be cheaper.

What can they get in the Tee Trade?  I would love this option, if it gets them 2 picks early to use on Defense.

Adams is 32 years old; why would the Bengals give up on a top 20 WR who is 26 for him?
Also I don't think you would get a 2nd but maybe a 3rd for Tee.

No it was very much tongue in cheek. I do find it mildly amusing when multi millionaire athletes pledge to ‘keep the team together’. Only as long as it doesn’t come out of their pockets of course.

Would be a nice dodge for the salary cap though but I’m sure that’s heavily scrutinised at HQ.

Didn’t they just get a 5th rounder for Deebo? It’s very much apples for oranges comparison I know but would you get 2 good picks for Tee I’m wondering?

That's kind of my point. He fired his agent for no reason. His last agent would have probably gotten him more money in free agency when he inevitably hits the market.

The plan should be to re-sign Tee and trade Hendrickson.

Hendrickson's stock has never been higher, he's older, and his best production is most likely behind him.

Tagging Tee is part of the Bengals leverage. They can negotiate saying, fine if you don’t like the offer you can play on the tag again. The only thing this proved to me was the Bengals truly want to keep tee. Not that I didn’t ever think they didn’t but I believe the plan all along was to tag and then work on a long term deal.

Yeah cool but that’s nothing to do with my post.

Yep it makes perfect business sense. Players mightn’t like it it but they’re also treating it like a business.

If the Bengals wanted to tag me and pay appropriately I’d be very pleased. Although what a retired after 25 years in the NSW Public Service now 3 day a week, 3 hour a day casual school bus driver is worth I’m not sure.
