TE Mike Gesicki: Re-signed on a three-year deal worth $25.5 million with $12 million in Year 1. (Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo)

LB Oren Burks: Agreed to a two-year, $5 million contract. (Ian Rapoport)
LS Cal Adomitis: Signed a one-year extension. (Team)
I like getting Perine back. He was missed. I don't know what happened in Denver or Kansas City. All I know is he was good in the Taylor Burrow offense. We have Chase Brown, but bringing back Perine who has muscles on top of muscles is a whole different type of power back Bengals also need.
I've also posted that I like Gesicki back, He is like Hurst was, in that he jumps, and fights, and claws for 1st down, carrying players on his back. A Bread and Butter play, good hands TE Burrow can count on.

We have a roster that lacks top end talent eapecially on defense. We've signed a bunch of average to below average NFL starters. That's not what we needed.
You can maybe sign/afford 2 or longshot ofgood to to top end talents in a normal free agency so you have ro find nuggets. Hill was a solid resign , Slaton is good for the $$ , Burks is the hopeful nugget.

$7 million for Ossai? I find it hard to believe he was going to get half that from another team.
Oh well, we'll see how it all plays out I guess. Prime of his career upcoming and he does know the system. And we're desperate for pass rushers. I still am not assuming that Trey is actually gone until a trade is done.

Dang. Maybe it's one of those "up to $7m" deals that are really like $3-4m with incentives?
My worry is that for the Bengals FO, $7m isn't what they consider backup money. A starting DE duo of Ossai and Murphy would be pretty horrifying.

I wonder if Burrow is happy with the moves?
How does anyone expect them to swing for the fences with Chase, Higgins and possibly Hendrickson sitting there waiting to be paid?

Chauncey Golston who has had a similar career trajectory as Ossai just got a 3y/19.5m comtract from the Giants. That is likely the market for young edges that were showing an upward trajectory.

So Allen just got 3 years $60 million with the Vikings. Just imagine what he'd do on our defensive line.

Well that's the thing isn't it? They need to resolve those situations one way or the other.

Because this is the second straight year for ALL three of them sitting there waiting to be paid, how long can the Bengals FO milk this into justifying inactivity?
Shit or get off the pot, Bengals FO, we have an ever-shrinking window of Joe Burrow's prime you're pissing away.

There were rumors that Tee was going to sign over 1st 3 days of free agency. We shall see I guess.

With Chase it is possible he knew the market was going up and waited. Then again that is probably giving the Bengals FO too much credit, especially given their history.
Regardless, they know what they need to pay him now and I'd hope Chase wouldn't risk playing another year where he might get a career ending injury or something. Time for everyone to come together and win together.

The FO or specifically Browns are the pure definition of skittish
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

To their own detriment.
Last offseason the Bengals (assuming they didn't try to get all Bengals with the guaranteed money) could have signed long term extensions for all three with Chase for $36m/yr, Tee for $23m/yr, and Hendrickson for $25m/yr and not had the bad vibes of 3/4ths of your most talented players being upset.
Now it's looking like those numbers this offseason would be something like $42m/yr, $30m/yr, and $32m/yr, respectively, and those bad vibes continue to grow.

I used to say the Bengals reminded me of a draw poker player. You know the one who antes up and gets his cards and immediately folds unless he’s got two pair or 3 of a kind. He never comes close to being the big winner at poker night but is never the big loser. But I may need to adjust it. Duke Tobin is not calling the shots on contracts. It’s got to be frustrating for Zac & Duke.

He’s who I wanted. 100% a difference maker who would’ve made this team better. Instead we resigned depth, guys that are completely replaceable off the scrap heap.
Way overpaid for Ossai, Slaton is just a big guy, plenty of those you can find, Burks is a back up special teamer, Gesicki is one dimensional and was here last year, doesn’t make us better.

Your analogy still works, it's just applied to the Brown family and not Duke or Zac. They are just the employees doing what they are told so they can keep their jobs and salaries.

Definitely when it comes to money they are muted

It takes two to make a deal..... or should the Bengals just give in to all the player's agent's demands? I'm all for getting deals done, but they had agreed on money and time with Chase last year, then he got all iffy over guarantees. I'm not a fan of fully guaranteed contracts.... look at what Watson's deal did to the Stains

Lol
That would be more profound if we didn't have over 30 years of evidence of the same shit from the Bengals FO constantly causing the same problems time and time again, far beyond the frequency of normal issues other teams deal with getting players signed and happy.

No point in complaining until all this shakes out. We need a Guard or 2 should be the complaint, not complaining about not getting the
huge deals done. Trey will be back pretty damn sure, we just need to keep him happy. Tee will be back or traded. They will HAVE to pay
Ja'Marr 41+ mil cause they screwed up and he made them pay.
As long as it gets done there is nothing to complain about IMO.
Now, Volson and Ford being the starting Guards should have everyone complaining even if we Draft a Guard early.
