It was not long ago our own players wanted out. That culture changed and now we showed those like Rankins and Cappa the door for underperforming.
No doubt, we have work to do in FA yet, but the real work is on teh coaches to improve the roster. We need them to take good NFL players and make 2 or 3 great.
The FO took the #1 FA in 2025 Tee off the market and then did what many of us said may be a mistake signed him long term. They paid him. Maybe time to give the FO props for a job well done.
True, still need a Guard or two, but so far they have done a good job of making sure this team didn't regress which could of happened
if we lost some of these solid to great players. Need the new coaches to coach the young guys up, namely in the trenches as we did
invest into some good ones last year in the Draft in Amarius Mims, Kris Jenkins and McKinnley Jackson.

Spot on. If those 3 take huge strides, we are a much better team.
Sometimes it as much guys on the roster as adding more talent.
Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

When we didn't pay them, we were cheap when we pay them, we overpay and are stupid.
Lots of news stories pushing this same BS. No matter what the Bengals chose to do it was going to be dumb by some fan's views and news stations.

Yes it's 90% of the same team as last year at 9-8... but let's be honest. Bengals delivered choke job after choke job last season a couple of those games should swing back our way.
Hit the draft picks and lets go... also a new defense coordinator and OL coach can help.

much input Lou had in picking these players or how much he could or couldn't coach them up.
This new Defensive staff could very well hit on some picks if they have any say. It is pretty brain dead to remain a fan of a team if you have no
faith in them in the future which is pretty much what you said.
Everyone you listed had flashes but looked like a brush of assberries last season.
And let’s not even get in Myles Murphy. That bum is a poor man’s Marcus Hunt at this point.
First and 2nd round drafts picks shouldn’t have this level of cope/hope at the end of their 2nd season.

DJ Turner didn't look bad last season, especially late before the injury, he was coming on. Dax Hill looked good last season too before injury
playing boundary Corner and I bet he fits in perfect at Slot Corner this year his natural position. Agree on Myles Murphy who had a very
disappointing season after gaining too much muscle and slowing himself down in the process.
Doesn't mean we cannot hit on a early Draft pick, the Draft is a crapshoot. Sometimes it just doesn't work out or coaches cannot develop
the players which I think is the main problem we have had around here.

McPherson also was a problem last year choking, hopefully it was because of injury and he bounces back and becomes a dependable Kicker again.

Golden and his staff also need to get the most out of all the young DBs. They have used quite a bit of draft capital on them over the past few years and injuries derailed them last season. They need to get CTB back to his 2023 level of play and continue to help Turner and Hall get better as well as continued improvement from Newton.
They have put a lot of $ into the offense but they have used most of their high round draft picks on the defensive side so it’s time to get something out of those investments.

Maybe Burton will realize if he could get even half of what these guys got he would be a very rich man, and decide to quit being a knucklehead.

Tobin probably said something similar to this about a Super Bowl to Rankins, Moss, Cappa, Pratt, ADG, Bell:

Pratt is still a member of the team. He asked for a trade, I've heard literally nothing about it since.

We have to go through Bills and Chiefs.
There's a little more to it than that. First, the defense has to be able to stop the run and force a team into "pass first" mode. The team took a big step in that direction by signing the NT.

Yep, that is what great teams do. Draft and coach up the youth. There are a lot of young, talented players for the new coaches to work with
and I am sure this upcoming Draft we can see what type of scheme Golden is going to implement by the type of players drafted. For example
I could see us drafting a pass rushing LB to be Golden's Viper in his Defense.
Should be interesting to say the least.

The DB's I think could be very good as you say, they have a lot of talent they drafted lately to get the most out of. CTB was very disappointing
to me last year, but Turner and Dax looked pretty damn good. Fig also made some nice plays as a rookie. Have liked Jordan Battle since we
drafted him and didn't like Lou benching him for Vonn early last season. Was a bad move.
I could see us drafting another DB early this year in Emmanwori to be that playmaking FS that we need. I don't care if Stone got some picks
late last year, he cannot tackle and lucks into his picks. About all he has for him is good hands, I would move on from him and add a Guard.

Trade him for a Guard or a Draft pick. Pratt doesn't fit Golden's Defense anyways, he needs faster LB's that can rush the passer and cover
and of course, Tackle.

All is great as long as the plan works. If it doesn't. The "I told you so" card is in the hands of the FO. How will fans react?
Question?
Does that put pressure on Burrow?
I mean, sort of I suppose, but it's not like he plays poorly one way or another. He seems to be steady regardless of the scenario, so not sure it changes things much for him.
He has two #1 WRs and a host of other weapons. A breakout young RB that can catch and run like the wind. A vet TE that is a nightmare matchup for most LBs, and two monster starting Tackles. He's probably feeling pretty damn fired up right now.
Realistically we are only one or two successful drafts away from being capable of making another run, imho. I think the young DBs are about to show their worth and growth this season. Add in a bare minimum, one more decent LB, G, and pass rusher. These players can be drafted on team friendly rookie deals.
We're making another run people. Count on it!
