Tahj Brooks is our 4th RB. The last time we had a 4th RB on our roster (3 years ago) he was largely inactive on gameday and played 36 offensive snaps.
Even if Brooks makes the final roster instead of going to the PS, unless you predict he beats out Moss who they gave a $375k signing bonus to this year as part of his paycut, or Perine, he's going to be inactive most of the year.
Chase Brown was in his age 23 season as a rookie, which is a bit older than normal. He's in his age 25 season now.

I expect Tahj Brooks to be the #2 RB behind Chase Brown early this season and maybe even take over the #1 spot and I like Chase Brown a ton.
That is how high I am on Tahj Brooks. Tahj is the perfect RB for running in the inside zone that we are implementing. I think Chase Brown will
struggle in this scheme and be the pass catching blitz pickup back for us by mid season. Tahj was a special talent to get in the 6th round IMO.
Samaje is a good vet, but time catches up with RB's as you note. I think Moss gets cut.

I guess we will find out, but that's a heck of a bold prediction Nate.
He's the fourth RB we've drafted in the 6th round in the Taylor era....
Chris Evans
Trayveon Williams
Rodney Anderson
Even earlier than that in the Lewis era we had a decent little history of taking 6th round RBs that folks get real excited for, too...
Rex Burkhead
Dan Herron
Bernard Scott
I mean, I hope you're right because that means he'll be even better for us than Brown was last year which would mean good things for our run game. I just don't think I will be putting any of my money on that bet, is all.

What's up with you continually bringing that up lately? At least 3 times in the last two weeks.

This was an insanely deep RB class, this is the only reason a back like Tahj Brooks fell as far as he did IMO. It is a bold prediction, but Tahj has
already been impressing and he can do it all and is a better runner than Chase Brown in short yardage and in the inside zone which we are most
likely going to be running a lot of.
Chase Brown will be making a tons of big plays this year though, whether in the passing game or on screens where he is deadly.
I just think the best runner on our team right now is Tahj Brooks and I loved Samaje in his prime.

The Brown family just makes it so freaking difficult time and time again.
Oh well.
You mean the same brown family that spent a zillion bucks on burrow..chase..higgins.....there are discussions..problems , critiques with all nfl teams at this time of the year relating to draft picks...FA acquisitions..contracts ..coaches etc.. by all sportswriters locally and nationally....stewart will be in summer camp...non story

In order for Tahj to unseat Samaje he’s going to have to make a huge early move. Doubtful he gets enough reps to do so. But I think he’s going to be a big time get
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

I sincerely hope Tahj brings the short yardage power game and is a good blocker, but I don't see anyone replacing Chase Brown as #1 because no one else has Brown's speed. Last year he was the 2nd fastest player at any position in the NFL

I have to agree, it is bold to think RB 4 will be a star in 2025 without an injury to Brown which I hope does not happen. I will say though a 6th round RB in 2025 may be a 4th round RB other draft years, very deep RB class.

We will see Sooner. Nothing against Samaje, very good physical back in his prime but we all know how RB's fall off earlier than other positions.
Agree Tahj is going to be a big time get.

Yeah, cannot teach speed that is for sure. I just see times when Chase runs right into the back of his blocker as his vision at times is questionable.
Tahj has very good vision in tight places and is perfect for the inside zone.

It is bold and yeah it was a very deep RB class where normally a back like Tahj would of went in the 3rd or 4th round.
