Really excited to see the Myles Murphy - Shemar Stewart synergy
#1
I haven't really seen it discussed here, but Shemar Stewart probably has the strongest bull rush I've seen from a DE. It will be really fun to watch him open up blitzing lanes for Murphy.

Me either. They might even hit 3 combined sacks over 17 games.

It’s going to be a thing of beauty.

Synergy? What are they both holding out now?

I hope not! Their 2 projected starting DEs are both hold outs already.

OP knows that Murphy is not a LB?
Not sure how one DE would open up a blitzing hole for another DE?
How does a DE even blitz?

This must be part of Al Golden’s new defense that’s going to save the Bengals.

I don't know what the OP is getting at myself. Maybe he means Stewart opening blitzing lanes for Knight the viper LB?

I hate to be the guy who has to continually inject reality to the fanboys

Last year in 25 combined games and 650+ defensive snaps, Stewart and Murphy combined for 1.5 sacks

Good god, well when you put it like that. LOL

Would you like to kick my dog while you’re at it?

They might get it against the Commanders' 3rd stringers in the preseason...

Just trying to get a discussion going. And yes, I think the Stewart might be kicked inside of Murphy for stunts opposite side of Hendrickson. That is what I meant.

Yeah. It ain’t good. These pass rush specialists do not accumulate sacks.

It’s obviously a very concerning trend

Okay, then Murphy wouldn't be blitzing, he would be doing a stunt. I also think that Shemar Stewart will be ten times as disruptive of an End/DL
as Sam Hubbard was for us the last couple of years. I for one am really excited about Stewart myself regardless of the lack of sacks he had in
college when he was doubled and chipped more than any other DL on A&M.

Agree, there were times the TAMU defense showed flashes of the great 2021 Georgia defense.

The play i imagine Murphy and Stewart defending is a toss.

I can just imagine Stewart blowing up the toss and stringing the back out and Murphy using that speed to chase it down backside for no gain

I can dream

In all the tape I watched up A&M after we drafted Stewart he blew up a ton of run plays and made the QB go the other way constantly
and this is with him being doubled and chipped constantly. A lot of the bad plays by that Defense were when #4 wasn't on the field.

I like both McKinnley Jackson and Shemar Stewart the Aggies for the future with the Bengals Defense for sure.

With Stewart's size, speed and quick step there will be plays where you are like WTF just happened again? He will blow some people's minds
on here with his disruption whether he gets the sacks or not. Murphy WILL be better this year after losing that extra weight he was playing
with last year that clearly slowed him down.
