I was looking to work something with the Jets. Perhaps AJ and a 2nd for their 1st.
AJ McCarron has a high calling here.
I'll have to think about them both. Granted, if Cleveland wants to trade their #1, that's something I'll pay most attention to.

I don't think the Browns would be interested in this in real life, and especially not on this mock. Cleveland is staying put and addressing a need at 1, at least during this mock.

So we have one confirmed trade and 2 on the table:
Confirmed: Titans trade the #18 overall pick to Carolina for their #40, #64, #98
Proposed: 49ERS offer #2 overall pick to Cincinnati for AJ McCarron and the #9 overall pick (needs Bengals OK and commish approval)
TEXANS offer #25 overall to Cincinnati for AJ McCarron and the #41 overall pick ( needs Bengals OK and commish approval)
NYJ rescind their earlier offer.

I suppose it is what you consider reasonable. The top prospect in this draft is a DE with character concerns. This is at a position where they recently spent to #32 on Ogbah and just paid Jamie Collins handsomely. With this move they could kill 2 birds. Solve QB and still get a high caliber player with the #9.

I just don't think aj and 9 offered to Cleveland for 1 would be accepted in real life imho. I'm waiting on wolf to accept or counter before approving.

And if you would have asked me about 6 weeks ago I wouldn't have thought they would take on Osweiller.

I wouldn't have either. It was an unprecedented move. Essentially buying houstons second rounder next year. For a team with the cap space and the holes they have I think it was a good move for them

Ravens got hosed they offered the #16 pick to carolina and were turned down (plus there trade offer was put in first) I guess only some teams are allowed to make trades

I believe this was already settled between you and holic. There was nothing accepted, therefore nothing to approve. Seriously.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk okay just seems ridiculous that the #16 pick for the same draft picks does not get approved but the #18 pick is plus like stated my offer was put in first

it was rejected which doesn't make sense since it would benefit carolina slightly more than now

I believe it was rejected because the points weren't close enough. At least that's what you indicated to me. The matter is closed.

It's like I told you in the PM's...I just chose the offer that I thought had a better chance of getting approved, which was at 18, because the point values were almost identical.
It was nothing personal brother. Remember, this is all just for fun. :andy:

How about the following 3 team trade?
Bengals Get
#2-9'ers
#6-Jets
Jets Get
AJ McCarron-Bengals
#66-9'ers
#109-9'ers
#146-9'ers
49'ers Get
#9-Bengals
#39-Jets
#41-Bengals
Sheldon Richardson-Jets

That is certainly one way to look at it but the other is, why would they trade back nine spots and only pick up a backup QB that has less than a handful of starts under his belt? I'm not sure its as much of the voice of reason as it is difference in opinion and skill of AJ Mccarron. I think he is a good QB, a great backup and insurance, but I don't think he has more physical talent than probably the top 3-4 QB's in this draft class.

Yep, it's a matter of opinion. Cleveland could probably still get the #1 QB on the board at 9 or 12 to groom behind AJ for a year or 2.
