I got a letter from DirecTV yesterday which stated that since I'm a long-time and loyal customer I am going to get FREE NFL Sunday Ticket MAX for the 2020 season. Has anyone else who has DirecTV gotten this letter? If not, I'd call them and ask about it.
Not going to miss a game this year.

Congrats! (though I'm sure you likely feel as if you're already paid for it many times over, already)
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

How long have you been with them? I think I remember getting that once a few years ago.

I gave up on Direct TV a couple of years back. They were giving new customers the Sunday Ticket for free. I called them and asked how giving it to someone that had it for 9 years. I pretty much was told to go pack sand, so I dropped them.

Yes I have. They have given me discounts in the past, but you're right, sometimes it's pretty expensive.

10+ years. They have retention specialists that will work with you. I don't understand why they treated sandwedge so bad. But everytime I have called, they have worked with me.

That is similar to how I came to parting ways with Direct TV, and also Dish Network before them..

Didn't mind DirecTV when I had them. Expensive yes, but pretty reliable. That said, when YoutubeTV came out....it was not a hard switch.
Does stink that I have to stream Bengals games though...but last year I don't really feel like I missed much.

As a Sunday Ticket subscriber for over 17 years, I look forward to the day they give me the Ticket for free...
With that said, it is my belief that you are NOT getting Sunday Ticket for free. You are getting the add on which allows you to watch it from mobile devices and computers. The Max package requires Sunday Ticket for it to work. It has had various names over the years, and sometimes it is free, sometimes it costs extra. Last season is the only time I actually used it, as I was in CA Thanksgiving week and needed it to watch the game against the Steelers an ipad.

We received an email saying we would receive free Sunday ticket back in Jan. but looking at it closer it does say Sunday ticket Max.

I was a little leery after reading this post. So I called customer service, and hear is EXACTLY what she told me. I WILL be receiving all the regular Sunday Ticket channels, the REDZONE channel, fantasy tracker, and free streaming to mobile devices.

I would call and check, you're probably getting the same deal I got!

I just got a letter from Mike Brown, Katie and Troy Blackburn, Joe Burrow, and Chad Johnson. It said I'm getting free tickets to all home AND away games this season.
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.

Better be careful, certain members may imply that you're making that up. I'd personally check on that if I were you.

Did they state ALL were free, or just the bolded part? The bolded portion is the Max portion of the package, and it requires a Sunday Ticket subscription, for obvious reasons, which consists of the other channels.
I hope you truly are getting it all free, but I'm just trying to make sure you aren't getting the wool pulled over your eyes, as I have had the same chain of events happen to me in the past:
DTV: "You're getting free NFL Sunday Ticket Max".
Me: "Awesome, thanks!!!"
Me: "Why is the Sunday Ticket still on my bill?"
DTV: "Becuase you're getting free Sunday Ticket Max"

Yes, they stated that it was all free. I didn't renew Sunday Ticket last year, so I don't have it right now. But the lady I spoke to clearly said I was getting everything for free this season. Sorta' worthless to give me MAX if I don't have Sunday Ticket.
I feel like I'm having to prove myself, I really wish I wouldn't have started this thread. But I just thought other members might be able to take advantage of this offer.
And I wasn't referring to you personally when I said some people think I am lying about the whole thing. I think you are just telling me to beware. Someone else blatantly implied I was lying, and that pisses me off. I have no reason to make this up.

I believe you Tiger Teeth. I’ve had similar experiences with Direct TV too. Whenever I’ve dealt with them I’ve gotten the Ticket for free too. I usually have to talk to someone in the retention department and say to them exactly what has been said in this thread, how can you give away all the good incentives to new customers and not give anything to someone who’s been a loyal customer for so long such as I. That’s usually all it takes and they start working pretty well with me. BUT, they make you do it every year or when your contract is up. I wish it was a one time thing and it’s locked in for life, but that’s not how it works.
Deceitful, two-faced she-woman. Never trust a female, Delmar, remember that one simple precept and your time with me will not have been ill spent.

Thanks buddy.
I was planning on getting Sunday Ticket this year, but now I have it.
Anyway, thanks for believing me. You're a good dude!

No... Just messing with you. Implying that they are giving stuff away that may not happen. Did I mention I was promised free beer at the games?

Okay. I guess I took it the wrong way. No worries jason. And if I were you I'd ask for a shopping spree in the Pro Shop! Lol

I wouldn't think family members had to pay....
