This is spot on. I've sold spine implants for over 15 years and we always have the MRI and CT scans up in the OR when the surgeon is operating. There are some backs that look like someone bent them into a pretzel and the patient only has a mild issue requiring a small procedure. You then have other ones that don't look very serious, but the patient has horrific pain and can't feel their foot.
