These guys have a good idea of what they want.  Zeitler wanted more than the Bengals were willing to pay.  There is nno evidence he would have taken a lot less the year before.

We just went through this with Bates.  Every team in the NFL goes through the same thing with every player that becomes a free agent.  If it was a simple as you claim than no team would ever have a decent player become a free agent.
