I think the week before against the Steelers was still impacting him,as he was credited with 5 turnovers,and really had him off his game.He hadn’t fully recovered from that game mentally,and then at the very start of the game,here come the Cowboys blitzing away,and picking up where the Steelers left off.Hence,his conservative play,and uncertainty as a result.
