He gets by having an offense with an overabundance of talent and a defense led by Anarumo that keeps the team in every game. Taylor's actual coaching/playcalling on offense is crap. The Bengals need a real O.C. that knows how to design an offensive system with the talent we have and to be able to call the plays. No more Taylor thinking he is an offensive guru. He needs to be the head coach not the co-offensive coordinator.
Him, Burrow, and Callahan all designed this offense together.
IMO the problem is the depth of the playbook. A lot of the concepts and stuff they run seems basic and not very ingenious.
I look at teams like Miami and KC and the stuff they run and compare it to our offense...and it just seems a lot "easier" on the QB. WRs running open down the field, more pre snap motion, misdirection, better screen game, etc.
Our offense moved the ball last year, but if they're bread and butter isn't working (F it Tee or Jamar is down there somewhere) they just get completely stuck in the mood.
The boys are just talkin' ball, babyyyy
