What I mean is I have no idea if/when Chase comes back but if he does come back and plays like a shell of himself this year, becomes disgruntled, possibly gets injured,/dinged up,etc. then it will be Tee that all of a sudden solidifies himself into the #1 WR spot and maybe it's a guy like Chase that gets left behind.
Kind of what I was thinking. Remember when Michael Johnson turned down his contract offer, and the Bengals then offered it to Dunlap. Dunlap stayed and Johnson packed up for Tampa Bay, only to come back 2 years later for less than he would have originally gotten. I could see if Yoshi, Jones and Burton have big years and Higgins balling out, Higgins gets the deal and Chase gets traded. He's going to be one sad puppy watching Burrow to Higgins the rest of his career with Joey Bag-of-Donuts throwing him the ball instead of Joey Burrow.
