Both Carter and Ossai were clearly held on that play as well. But having Anthony in there instead of Battle or Hilton is just insane.

Don't understand it.

Maybe that's what Lapham was referring to....

Maybe he has an injury of some kind we don't know about.

This was my thought, a possible injury.

On the surface. I wonder if they were out tired or there was a reason around it that happened in the flow of the game.

It is honestly a great question, I know Battle is not known as much for his coverage but he has great instincts.

Clearly Anthony was out of his element on a couple of plays, especially the last one.

Just craziness on the biggest play of the game. Whatever

That's what I don't understand though.
I would not be having what I consider to be SAF4 as my DB6 in critical plays.

CTB, Hill, Bell, Stone, Hilton for certain.
6th would be Turner or Battle depending on the situation.

Is Hilton really not that good in coverage in a deep play like that?

6 DB’s I get Battle but you never know the dynamics and if he’s unhappy after being replaced by Bell. Anthony has impressed them. Good grief he’s not the first guy to DPI. Hilton isn’t the fastest DB. I don’t know. Questioning a staff that held Kelce to 1 catch for 5 yards and Mahomes to his lowest passing yards in his career as a starter seems silly ( others are ) For sure you can microscope every play.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

Spitballing about Hilton, but maybe they anticipated a sort of hail Mary type throw and wanted a height advantage out there.... otherwise, IDK

Height makes sense too.
