This was my thought, a possible injury.

I thought he was face masked before the punditry started talking about a hip drop.

They won 5 games with Burrow, and 4 with Browning. The last one being against Cleveland who rested their starters.

Burrow wasn't healthy last year for half those games. Zac is a terrible coach for putting an injured QB out there.

The defense put in a position to win, like always, our offense cant take the initiative with our OVERPAID elite players.

We need to start overpaying our D.

As good as Zac is or for how much credit we give him for taking it easy on guys to keep them healthy during the season. He has made some absolute terrible decisions regarding Burrow. I mean he lead the league in pass attempts when he hurt his wrist. Which is crazy considering he was hobbled the first few games.

What overpaid elite players? Burrow I assume? He's still not quite right and again had an opportunity to keep the drive alive on the last offensive play but failed to pull the trigger. I still think he will get there just looking at the past few years.

Yeah. To quote an old wise man, "If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas"

Yea but I think Zac and Joe himself thought he could overcome the calf slowing him down. Joe isn't a Lamar running  and that calf hurt him a bunch in mobility.

the fact is all the $$$ went to burrow, and ever since the signing, we lost just about everyone else and brought no one (BETTER or EQUAL) to replace them. Burrow is pretty hurt most of the time and starts unprepared, he's reminding me more and more like Carson every year. everyone knows this, the coaches are the only unchanged bunch (other than our OC).

you do realize that most quarterbacks are injured to some degree starting every game in college and the NFL...to what degree that is the decision made mutually by the coach , medical staff and quarterback..you have no idea as to the discussions that took place and how healthy or not burrow was

You have no idea either, then.

I can see with my eyes, he couldn't move. Burrow is going to say he wants to play, Browning would have played better at the start of the season. Only Zac can stop that, it's little things like this that make Zac a bad coach.

Start an injured QB who can't move in the pocket for one of the worst OL teams in the league, side with Zac.

And yeah, most players are not injured to start a season. That is a fluke to get injured in the off season and practice/pre-season. To say "most quarterbacks" are injured starting every game is a joke, because we're talking about Game 1. And Game 2. Of which Zac is the worst.

Now that we know Jake Browning is capable, you don't have to sit him back there and never let him in at any part of the game. We have no creativity, other teams use their backup to rush 4th and 0.5, why make Burrow do it. Hell, Browning can throw and they may not be ready for that.
