Still himself later said he was very grateful to the Bengals and Mike Brown for this gesture. Her treatments and surgery was in excess of 1 million dollars then.
So he sacrificed the teams betterment (Admittedly not much, but im making a petty point here) to do the right thing for a player....I'd be more impressed if he just used his fortune and offered to pay for all her medical treatment. He's never given a damn about bringing a championship to the fans of this season that foot the bill for his stadium. I've heard that Dave Lapham himself said Mike Brown told him that playoff success isn't high on his list because with it comes players who want to be paid. Yeah, F Mike Brown.
