Meanwhile, KC rolls out endless home run picks. They don't need years to sit. They come in like 165 pound Worthy and assimilate then produce. Pacheco was a 7th round pick that took the job and never looked back. Rice contributes. McDuffie. Bolton. Karlaftis. On and on.
The Chiefs certainly have an advantage with 87 being an elite receiving option at a significant discount to actual wrs. They also have the team friendly Mahomes deal. That's not why they remain dominant. They maintain a strong roster because Veach drafts his ass off. He's a sniper hitting kill shots at long range. We can't hit a target point blank with a bright shiny target painted on it.
This roster was always going to erode without good drafting. Maybe Murphy is good. Maybe Jenkins is good. Mims might be the second coming of Water Jones. Hard to tell when they don't play.
