But to my surprise, we had every chance to win that game, but again, we beat ourselves. They will get it together and I feel good after this loss. I actually see some light that wasn't present last week.
For those of you standing on the ledge, take a deep breath and relax. We're going to be fine.
I guess how one feels about the game depends on expectations. I thought the game would be close with the Bengals having a chance to win. I stated before the game that I expected the Bengals to bring their A game or at least their A- game. The Bengals always play KC close and they finally had that first game experience. (Practice does not replicate the speed and intensity of game action. The lack of playing in preseason games meant the Bengals were not taking good angles or tackling well the first actual game action they had.)
Then when they got some breaks (interceptions), I was sure they would win this game. To have it snatched out at the end was devastating.
I guess those who thought the Bengals were going to get demolished are happy that they lost a close game. But those who expected a close game and that the Bengals could likely win are not going to be so happy.
It's a loss to a major rival. Its a loss in the AFC. It just bad news all over. So, no, I'm not happy.
