Sample is a blocker. A very good one. But terribly limited as a receiver.
Gesicki is a receiver. A very good one. But terribly limited as a blocker.
If one is in the game as the only TE, it strongly suggests the playcall vis the personnel on the field.
Whereas All can do it all. Block and catch. If he is the lone TE, the D is still guessing. Further, he can balance out or works well with either Sample or Gesicki in 2 TE sets.
Hudson is akin to Gesicki in being more of a receiver. McLachlan is more well rounded, and the likely All understudy.
