Financially it makes sense for both the county and Bengals to have a dome. Both entities would reap the additional revenue from the ability to rent out the facility year-round.
As for the Super Bowl, the challenge is not airport location (still less than 30 minutes to downtown) or the number of hotel rooms it is the lack of LUXURY hotel rooms. The additional 600 or so rooms from the new convention center hotel will help but realistically to host a Supor Bowl, Cincinnati's downtown would need another 600 or so high-end rooms on top of that to host. That means hotels like Ritz Carlton, W, JW Marriott, Conrad, Four Seasons, Intercontinental. The problem is that Cincinnati doesn't have the daily business to support that many more rooms in the market.
