Just a theory but I feel like it's easier for a scout to go to a game an asses a skill position because it just visibly easier to see them make catches or a throw or out on an island in coverage. Versus seeing interior lineman for example run blocking and pass protecting all game. Plus just using interior O-line man as an example how could 8 scouts watch every game of every guard and center prospect coming out of the draft the numbers don't make sense to me. Seems like it might be a job for like 4 scouts and that's not even including all the other positions.
Right, and how do these coaches have time to be running a NFL team and scouting college football at the same time? I've always felt like that was a recipe for disaster. Quit relying on coaches to scout and get some dedicated personnel in that department. This isn't the 60s.
