I expect the pick to be DL, be it DE (Scourton) or DT (Harmon, Nolen, Grant).
Though if Starks (S) falls to us, I could see us taking him. TE Warren would be VERY tempting.
I do love Campbell at LB. There is some good DL depth on Day2. There are no IOL worth taking top 20.
I will say I'd rather get a stud at a secondary area of need/non-premium position (S, LB, TE) than a 'meh' pick at DE/DT/CB. I am pretty convinced Starks, Campbell, and Warren are studs. Not as much with Scourton, Harmon, Nolen, and Grant.
M. Williams is problematic for me. First, Lou is pretty dogmatic about playing true DEs instead of OLBs. Rumor has it he was gonna take Nolan Smith befor the Eagles took him, so he isn't completely dogmatic. But that was when Hubbard was the starter, and Smith DE3 on passing downs. We need DE2.
Now, if Lou isn't here, sure. But switching to a 34 is gonna have problems. Can Trey play OLB? We don't have 2 decent DTs, much less 3. Or 6. And all our LB are MLB types save maybe ADG, who is a FA.
The othet problem with Williams is he is an athletic freak but hasn't been that productive. Those guys scare me in Rd1. I want productive players who are also good athletically. We need help now, not 2 years from now. Get me guys who can play. Day 1 & 2. Not projects. That's Day 3.
