His 18 tackles (only 10 of them solo) are both the lowest of any season he started at least 10 games. Also 2 missed tackles that hit harder when you only have 10 solo tackles, so you're at 10% missed tackle.
If you put stock in PFF he's been very mediocre against the run this year. The Lions were already the 2nd rushing defense last year and now they're 4th.
There's a big difference between being expected to be the 2nd best player on a defense and just being a part. Reader hasn't made a tackle either solo or assisted in 3 weeks.
