I’m really annoyed by this “Lou is a good coach.” Only 1 year, did they finish in the top half of the year. That’s not good for a coach who’s been on a team for 6 years.
Lou was simply carried by the 21’ playoff run.
Yes, he made Mahomes look mortal, but let’s not forget guys like Mike White, Jacoby Brissett, 36 year old Russell Wilson, Andy Dalton, Cooper Rush. Good D coordinators shut those guys down, and we rarely did.
Lou might get a DC job again, but if I had to bet money, it won’t last long and he will go back to being a DB coach.
