I came to the thread thinking it would be filled with universal joy over the firing of Frank Pollack (for sure) and Lou. Instead, for many it became like a lynching mob, where they wouldn't be happy until Zac was hung up as well.
I don't understand the mindset of those to attribute Joe Burrow as almost solely responsible for everything that goes right with the offense and Zac is just a lucky SOB, hanging on Burrow coat tails. A world where Burrow makes all the calls on offense that go right and where some even credit him with getting Pollack and Lou fired. Did posters forget the lesson of Carson Palmer - a number 1 pick, pro-bowl, all-pro player, who never won a single, playoff game with Cincinnati? Who when he left the Bengals ended up taking his Arizona team to the NFC Championship Game?
Zac crafted an offense game play around Burrow -- something that works for Burrow and the team and allows Burrow's immense talent to shine. Despite the lack of a good offense line. Carson Palmer would have loved to have such a coach, who worked with him to allow him to reach his full potential and win playoff games with the Bengals, not have to go to Arizona to finally find playoff success.
