He has UC ties (not that that's a big boost to reputation, lol). He also worked with Harbaugh at Michigan and with LA this year. LA's corners did much better than expected, and they were mid round rookies. We have some early round youngsters that need that kind of guidance.
Also, although I dislike Harbaugh as a rival, I love his way of building culture and philosophy. His teams are always physical and can tackle. You have to think that might have rubbed off on Clinkscale over the years.
That's a good call.
There are a lot of interesting FA Chargers this year on D. Mack at DE, Ford and Tart at DT. Clinkscale is a DB guy, right? Mack is too old/pricey for us, but a mid level spend on Ford or Tart would make sense.
