So yes they could switch scheme. If Hendrickson doesn’t fit the scheme he could be traded for a ransom too.

With where the defense is at I would be okay with a complete overhaul.
They could let half the defense go.

Of course the argument is they need to win now.

When it comes down to it I just want them to hire whoever is most capable of developing a dominant defense. Therefore the best coach should get the job.

We need someone who can evaluate talent well and let the dead weight go and develop a winning defense.

So you're thinking that with roughly 2 months to the opening of the 'legal tampering' period, the Bengals will have found the DC they believe in going forward, and that he'll be able to lightning quick find his DL and LBs coaches, evaluate the current personnel, evaluate all of the pending free agents of the class, get everyone (FO included) on the same page heading into free agency and be ready to make solid offers heading into the tampering period?

I really admire your optimism, but I really don't think that the Bengals organization could possibly move that quickly.
