In his 5 games as interim in Miami he had Ryan Tannehill slinging it 34 times a game. If you exclude the first game where he wasn't prepared and ready to be OC all week, the final 4 games he had him throwing the ball 38 times a game.
In his 1 year at Cincinnati he was throwing the ball 38 times per game (which is why that weird outlier when he was caught offguard is a noteworthy exclusion).
Andy Dalton in 2019 was asked to throw the ball almost 41 times per game.
Joe Burrow has thrown the ball in his career 37 times per game.
Even Jake Browning was asked to throw the ball 33 times a game as a backup
Ryan Finley with the NOODLIEST of wet noodle arms that no sane person would ask to throw the ball 30+ times a game threw the ball 29 times per game in his 3 starts.
...it's not because of who the guards are, it's just Zac Taylor football.
