This roster is in flux and needs a serious overhaul. Especially on the defensive side of the ball.
This is no easy gig. Winning in Cincy is not and never will be easy.
While I do not feel sorry for him in the slightest, he has a tough job ahead of him.
The Eagles went from 30th in D to 1st in one year. A great draft (Mitchell & DeJean). A great FA signing (Braun). A stud DL that made everyone around him better (Carter).
Assuming we keep Hendrickson...getting Wilson back healthy will help. Ditto Dax Hill & Turner, who were both playing pretty well before getting hurt. Hopefully, some of the younger guys make a leap (Jackson, Jenkins, Battle, Newton, Turner, Hill, Murphy, Heyward, Ngongmeta).
Things did get better after Lou simplified, albeit vs lesser competition.
It is a deep draft on the DL. Ends, DTs, NT's. A good draft + a savvy FA vet or two + a Golden bump. Pratt & Stone bounce back.
Best in the league is likely a bridge too far, but if I squint I can see the pissibility for a big leap.
