AJ Brown was on a 1yr/~$1m deal when he got traded.
Tee will be on a 1yr/$26m deal if he gets tagged and traded.
You give AJ Brown a 4yr/$100m extension and he's now under team control for 5yr/$101m. ($20.2m/yr)
You give Tee a 4yr/$100m extension and he's now under team control for 5yr/$126m. ($25.2m/yr)
That's a large difference in value. You're essentially getting an extra free year of control.
