I’m just rolling with the CB’s we have got to many high picks invested there need to see how it shakes out.

What we need on defense remains to be seen.  Assuming Golden brings the same or similar defense to the NFL that he ran at ND, then a player like Trey is nice, but not necessary in his scheme.  His is a Linebacker driven defense.  He frees up the linebackers with twists, stunts, delayed blitzes and using the DL to clog lanes, keep the OL off the backers and and to push pocket back into the QB to get him off his center.  He also uses spies on running QB's.

Trey while nice to have is not a bull, is only avg against the run and really isn't a good fit for this scheme.
