FWIW, those ere our two highest rated defenders, per PFF, outside of Hendrickson.

Call me silly, but letting 2 of your best 3 defenders walk and trading the best defender doss not seem like a great start in rebuilding the defense.

Of course, we are not there yet, but that is what it looks like. 

Hill and Hilton have been great additions for us and I would like to see Hill retained for veteran presence, unless we get an upgrade. 

But the mystery that will reveal itself over the next month or so will be what is Golden and Desai planning to rebuild our defense. I am guessing here, but it may be a bit of a blank canvas situation. 

• Will we see more of Fangio two high looks? Then we need two more LBs, one S, one DT, etc. 
• Are we serious about trading Trey? Is Murphy ready? We will need another Edge.
• How do we feel about our starting outside CBs? Is Dax viewed as slot or perimeter? We do need another CB.
• Our LB situation is up in the air. ADG is a FA and Pratt wants out. 
  

As related to our defense, I am not sure which FAs are best fits, because I don't know what Golden is thinking. The easy opinion is to get Milton Williams, don't trade Trey, draft the best DT, CB, LB and Edge available. 

But that is a lazy, and uninformed opinion.
