Also worth noting that just because Carolina paid someone that much money doesn't mean it's a good idea or worth emulating. I would be upset if we had a 24-year-old Drew Sample hitting FA and he got that deal.
Drew Sample I guess is the comparison and yes they overpaid for Tremble in this comparison as well.
Drew Sample is one of the best blocking TE's in the NFL but he is a terrible passing threat with how slow he is.
Gesicki is pretty much a big WR. Expecting him to produce much more in his second season with Burrow.

But I can't help but to feel that Bengals may go with a younger vet. Milton Williams would be the prize and we should expect us to get him - especially if we lose Trey.
Yes, we need a vet on the DL and Jonathan Allen fills this hole as well. Allen and Milton Willaims would be great along with Josh Sweat
if we could somehow afford them all while getting a Guard or two. It is a lot to ask but we have quite a few holes to fill even if Trey is
back which it is looking like to me.
I doubt a team is going to give us a late 1st round pick for Trey and pay him 35+ million a year. This is what it would cost pretty sure.
I bet Trey comes back and signs the offer we offered him with from all reports was around 32 mil per year, plenty of dough.
