Jenkins; Never a Realistic Option

Seattle had him in for a visit, how is that treating him like he has the plague? Has Risner had one? Hernandez? Scherff? Smith? Campbell?

Are those guys being treated like they have the plague?

I have no earthly idea why some guys have not signed yet. The obvious thing with Jenkins is his injury history and missing games. Maybe the asking price is too high.

Everyone does not sign in the first 3-4 days. Plenty of guys take longer every year. Some have drier markets than they they thought and choose to wait instead of signing a discounted deal early.

Sometimes teams wait until after the draft to make final decisions & commit resources. They thought they were gonna get a DE, but it did not happen, so now let's pay Smith, etc. Or maybe they draftca stud at a spot and release a vet to save $$ as a result, and splash that cash savings at a different spot.

For whatever reason, the G market has moved slower than other spots. Maybe the guy at the top has not made a decision yet, and when he does, dominos will fall.

I guess I just object to the chatacterization, so an oushing back on it a bit. For this player, and all the remaining FA's.

But the most obvious & common explanation is the player was hoping for more $$ than is being offered.
