If anything this offseason has proved Burrow has more power than Tobin,
And by all reports and discussions that is pretty much a known fact at this point.
Matter of fact, it's all everyone is talking about.
What we know, something changed at the combine and it sounds like Burrows reps got involved and made it clear trading Tee would not be satisfactory to keeping Burrow. Then the plan changed.
We already know Chases agent had to threaten them with an all (Chase and Tee) or nothing choice. So what is it you guys are really trying to argue about? Tobin having some authority? Based off of what? Yall thought when he spoke of "talent" he was speaking of a old journeyman like Patrick?

You've seen how this team operates for...however long you've been a fan. For me it's been 47ish years.
Yet you come in here with this "news", like it's somehow legitimate or even important.
The Bengals: Mike Brown, Katie Brown, Troy Blackburn, etc., are not the type to be held hostage by anyone. Ever heard of Carson Palmer? Ever seen how they operate? How they've let players go because they didn't want to pay a certain amount or they didn't want to do a certain type of contract, i.e., guarantees, in the past? What they're doing now, is exactly what they've been doing for decades. They come around to 'current standards and practices' about 5-10 years later than all the other teams. It's just the way they do and have always done business. It's great that they're coming around...but it's nothing new. They just do it years after everyone else.
Once again, this is all manufactured BS, that people use for clicks and "discussion" but there's about as much truth to the Brown's being held hostage as there is in me being named the President of the United States, tomorrow.
They were never going to trade Tee as everybody wanted him here. It was a matter of just working through it. Chase switching to Rocky as his agent was smart on his part. Zac, Joe, and Duke all were adamant Tee needed to be here. The Brown’s weren’t being dragged. They just needed to get it figured out and I’d expect the Browns/Duke said we need to get it done before the draft. So there was some degree of a deadline and everybody got it done. They wanted it before OTA’s as things will be different trying to correct the slow starts.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.
