The goal of every team entering the draft, with few exceptions (like a team intending to draft a QB at the top of the draft) should be to have a starter at every position that they'd be comfortable starting the season with, even if they're just a short term solution.
That prevents you from reaching.
The Bengals did a decent job of that last year by signing players like Trent Brown, Geno Stone, and Sheldon Rankins. Now, those signings didn't necessarily work out, but it gave them the perceived depth required to feel like they didn't need to draft any day 1 starters.
If this is the depth chart we have today, or if this + Patrick is the depth we have today, I feel like we'd NEED to draft a day 1 starter at OG in this draft. And that may cause them to reach for a player like Tyler Booker in the first round, instead of drafting a player at a more valuable position like DE or DT.
