The same way that Ichiro isn't the hit king because his hits in Japan don't count, and Sadaharu Oh doesn't hold the MLB record for most career home runs.

All this does is people are going to have to start adding "in the Super Bowl era" when they talk about all the records, because that's what people actually care about.

You can have a million Superbowl era QB's on the list and a handful pre-Superbowl era QB's on the list.

The NFL Hall of Fame started in Sept 1963. The Superbowl era in 1966. 

In what year do you think the first NFL player NEVER to play in the pre-Superbowl era was inducted into the Hall of Fame and who was he?

Answer 1985; OJ Simpson.

So everyone inducted before 1985 doesn't count because they played in the inferior tarnished pre-Superbowl era and their records like Jim Brown means nothing?

Every record before 1966 is eliminated?

Otto Graham was possibly the GOAT with 7 Championships in Dec 31, 1965[last  year of pre-superbowl], but in Jan 1 1966[first year of superbowl era] he wasn't?
