SA has a larger population than Austin and even Dallas, plus folks from Austin can easily commute into SA for games (1.5 hours).
That wouldn't take away from the Longhorns either.
The combined metro populations of SA + Austin is > 5 mill people. That'd put them near the Top 10.
Even separate, SA and Austin are both higher metro populations than areas such as Cincy, Pittsburgh, Vegas, Cleveland, Indy, and more.

Yeah I've always had this view that Mikey wants to keep the team in the family and win one for his dad in Cincy. IIRC they were close to leaving for Baltimore if Cleveland didn't though.
Who knows. I know that when I was younger I was bitter at the idea of them leaving and if I had anything close to a backup team it was the crappy Lions only because of Barry Sanders. Now, I don't know. If they did move, I agree that it would have to be too good to be true, like extend the lease, the thing that we won't talk about happens and then Katie decides to sell or move the team to Austin. I'm just playing along with the scenario. I can't see them going half way and moving to Louisville but I think they would still be my team if they did, I'd just be annoyed by the extra 2 hours. I don't think I'd be an Austin fan. I'm an Ohioan but it seems like Cincy is shared with Kentucky anyway, they'd still be "ours". So yeah, I don't think they move but if they did that's where I stand. Maybe I stay an Austin fan for Burrow, who knows. Interesting topic that I hadn't really considered for like a decade.
