I also agree I love the passion of our fan base, just wish we can focus on 2025 and leave any past failures behind.
I wish i still had the ability to do that. At this point in my life, if the organization is counting on this, i see it more as a slap in the face than an enduring optimism.
I may not be the smartest guy in the room but i know i'm smart enough to see how things work and how things don't work. When i see a team that operates almost the opposite of other successful organizations and they continue to do it stubbornly, in the face of a continuing outcome of failure, i have a problem sitting by and accepting that.
When i see a team way behing in modern amenities, who takes years to catch up, only to have the current MO be different, requiring them to catch up years down the road again...when i see a team with the smallest scouting department in the NFL, who continually fails to draft players outside the top 5 who produce for years, continue to try and re-invent the wheel by drafting player B instead of player A...when i see a team hold on to bad players and bad coaches because they don't want to pay someone for not doing work anymore...when i see a team argue for every single penny and not want to operate the way virtually every other organization operates, ending up paying players milliions more in the end because they weren't smart enough to sign them when they were cheaper...when i see a team fail to realize the the most important thing for a franchise QB is to protect him but instead signs more high priced weapons...
I could go on but what's the use? This team wants and expects fans to "leave any past failures behind" because it allows them to operate the exact same failing way they've operated for decades and maybe they'll get lucky and fall into a championship because the law of large numbers dictates it. The one thing the law of large numbers doesn't dictate is the length of time it takes for something random to even out.

Go ahead and sit by quietly, refreshing your optimism every year, year after year. Hoping that this is finally the year we break through and get that elusive championship. It's your right as a fan.
I won't sit by quietly, believing they're smarter and know what they're doing, when i have decades of results that show they don't.
