Very tough for a DE to get space when you play tight formations on the DL and mainly due to the fact that SS got chipped and doubled almost more than any other DE in America. There's a reason why most pass-rushing defenses split wide when rushing the passer so DE's can create a path and get their spot.A&M does not do that.
SS is a complete physical freak we've not seen in years. The NFL will be far better suited for him because NFL teams provide far more interior pass rushers that can get to the QB so OL will not be able to double him nearly as much.
Great post Higgy. A&M is a different type of Defense that is for sure. That scheme as you say has the DL play tight on the OL which is wild
with how much Shemar still stands out in the film. Imagine him having a little more room with that lighting quick first step, he will be in the
OL's face instantly and coming for the QB so fast they won't know what is happening. Truly think at the very least Shemar is going to open
up things for others, but even then Trey will still be the one Offense's focus on the most so that should open things up for Shemar for once.
Shemar was the DL that Offenses tried to slow down the most at A&M as he was their most dangerous DL.

I kept telling them they had the wrong T A&M Olineman. This year Nic got 5 and Stew got 1.5. Imma say Stew beats Nic this year and throughout their careers.
WTS I wish Nic the best
I think you were right Bfine and are right now. I wanted Scourton in the 2nd round, but looking at Shemar Stewart I think we got the right
Texas A&M DL.

Nice read. It is nice for Shemar to have his old teammate McKinnley on his new team. I wanted McKinnley Jackson before we drafted him
as well which is cool. Hope both have a great season this year. I think Kris Jenkins is the one who should make the biggest jump as a pass
rusher this season, but who knows, I thought McKinnley surprised as a pass rusher as a rookie when he was supposed to be a run stopper.
