Yes Trey is whining, yes he is under contract but he's also disgruntled. So how would you handle it? I would tear up Trey's current deal and offer him a two year deal worth 64 million with sizable guaranteed money. If Trey wants a contract any longer make it almost completely incentive laden for a 3rd or 4th year. If Hendrickson truly believes in his abilities he should be fine with a contract structured like that. Trey gets the "security" he wants for his family in the first two years of the deal and if his production falls off a cliff and and he doesn't produce in years 3 and 4, the Bengals are out very little.
I would give him a 2 year deal at $32 million a year or a 4 year deal @ $30 million a year with decent cap out for us.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.
