I haven't seen this guy mentioned yet but Cam Sample is a nice option for breakout + comeback player. I could 5 to 7 sacks this season from him.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

I think most have written him off at this point given he's never had more than 2.0 sacks in a season and has been in the league since 2021.
Granted he was injured all last year, but what do you feel would be different for him this year compared to previous that would result in him having even >3.0 sacks?
Is it mostly the hope he gets used more inside and/or more effectively in Golden's defense compared to Anarumo's?
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Primarily more snaps at DT than he had his previous three seasons. I felt that he was underutilized under Lou!

I do as well, Cam Sample has always been solid, too bad he got the bad injury last year. It clearly hurt losing him.

Cam is kind of a hybrid similar to guys like Ossai and even BJ Hill. All 3 of these players could shine in Golden's Defense along with Kris Jenkins.

I think Eric All could step into the role that Drew Sample was having a difficult time with as a flanker and running more traditional TE routes.

Amarius Mims. While stats aren’t prolific for lineman Mims has all the physical traits of a top tier RT and should benefit from an offseason getting stronger after a mostly decent rookie campaign.
Through 2024

Mike Brown Owner/GM record: 34 years  232-311-4  .419 winning pct.
Playoff Record:  5-9 .357 winning pct.
Zac Taylor coaching record: 6 years 46-52-1 .470 winning pct.
Playoff Record: 5-2 .714 winning pct.

I second this. Mims could be our best OL this year and it wouldn't surprise me. So talented with his size, balance and strength to go along with his
smarts. Very smart young player. If we are going breakout Offensive player Mims is my guy and then Ossai on Defense. Also expect Mike Gesicki to
have a good year and getting a lot more TD's this season.

Sucks, but true. Really liked Erick All as a rookie, too bad. Cry

Several quality players mentioned. Pitt trading for Ramsey and signing Slay is directly linked to the Bengals paying Tee and Chase for the foreseeable future. I think that whoever wins the 3rd WR spot has a significant chance to have a solid season.

Ossai, Gesicki, and Mims are all good candidates as well.

That could be later in the year at this rate but we'll see.

If he can come in and physically dominate and take on bodies that will make the rest of the defense better.

I like a pick along the dline. Jenkins was another good pick I saw earlier.

If he signs Stewart has the potential to break out quickly.  If he does, Jenkins does, Ossai does and a healthy secondary breaks out we have the potential to actually be a top half defense.

We've heard the coaches talk him up a little this pre-season and I think he'll get more chances/rotations (though some of that depends on where things are with Trey when the season starts). He's 25 so he's entering his physical prime. I could see him being focused working his tail off to make the most of every snap he gets. His career and millions are on the line.

He was looking pretty good at the end of last season.   No reason to believe he won't at least take up where he left off

i have a hard tiime putting a breakout on a 5th year guy, especially since he has proven to be very inconsistent in his play , i just want him to play consistent ,  im focused on young guys like Mckinnley after being out hurt he played well as a rookie i thought.  Murphy is also interesting , he was setback last year with injury, played better at end of year and seems to have had a great offseason, hopefully he breaks out in his 3rd year like we actually wanted Ossai to have done.

I'm hoping that 2025 is a bounce back year for Cam Taylor-Britt. It seems like the Bengals have a bunch of CB2s, but both Cam and Dax have stretches of really good play. Taylor-Britt gave up too many big plays; he wasn't helped by Van Bell or to a lesser extent Battle, both of who were under lots of pressure to contain the run. I expect Dax to play OK, but yet another position change worries me.
