From what I read, they offered him 28 million per year, and he turned it down. Sorry, he gets no sympathy from me. I saw a clip of a guy from ESPN this morning online who nailed it. Hendrickson says the Bengals are not communicating with him. This guy (I don't know his name) pointed out that the Bengals gave him their top offer. When Hendrickson said he wanted more, they said no. So really, there's nothing left to communicate about. Trey not liking the answer he got and whining to the press that the front office won't talk to him is BS. They communicated, and he did not like what they said. So then he said exactly what I've been saying, Trey has several options, he can play under the contract HE signed and collect his 16 million dollars and dog it, or he can sit out and come back next season, when the Bengals still own him, or he can play this season and ball out looking for a new contract somewhere else next year. Sitting out and dogging it are not good options for him, and he's never going to make that 16 million back if he sits out a year. He's doing his own version of Le'Veon Bell here.
