I have posted many versions in this thread. My sticking point is the 2025 last year of his contract.
Ig he is truely making 20.8 million right now, then I think extending by offering him 8 to 10 million is fair in 2025, a bonus. Then for years 2 and 3 give him the means to make 32 to 35 million in years 2 and 3, but only guarantee around 60% of year 2 and none of year year 3. Tie it into roster bonuses each year and also performnce bonuses.
It is simple, he keeps producing at the current rate for sacks, he should be rewarded it for it in 2026 and 2027. If he doesn't, that is on him. Why should the team bear the brunt of the risk?
Of course the Signing Bonus from 2023 is ignored in the 2025 salary. Just like the 2023 base salary was lowered because he received a signing bonus. Trey made an average of around 16m per year from 2023-2025.
